Ms. Charlene Johnson was born November 23, 1970 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the parentage of the late Willie Johnson, Sr. and Annette Offord Johnson.
She attended public schools in Stuttgart, Arkansas and Sikeston, Missouri. Charlene enjoyed playing cards, dancing, spending time with family, friends, and grandkids, as well as watching all of Law and Order, The Price Is Right, and her soap operas. She also loved telling jokes and sitting in her rocking chair. Charlene was a homemaker until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Johnson, Sr. and Annette Offord Johnson, one aunt Jeanette Reams, two brothers Andre Johnson and Ronnie L. Johnson, one stepsister Arnetta Williams, and one stepbrother James Williams.
Charlene transitioned from this life on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She leaves to cherish her memories: long time partner Norman Russell, Sr.; children Kenneth Hogan (Brianna Robinson), Norris Russell, Tasha Russell, Kassandra Hogan, Broderick Russell, Marissa Russell, and Norman Russell, Jr.; twenty-three grandchildren; five brothers Willie Johnson, Jr., Jeffrey (Toinette) Johnson, Derrick Johnson (Marge Shana), Dalshawn (Wendy) Wilson, and Richard Wilson; three sisters Linda Johnson, Yvonne (Cleo) Taylor, and Pearl Johnson; stepmother Marvel Williams; first cousin Amanda Reams; special friends Ms. Carolyn Harvey, Mrs. Leola Walker, Ms. Sheila McKinney, and Ms. Carolyn Amos; Charles Coleman who she would always call her favorite brother-in-law; two special sons Ricky Cox, Jr. and Ricola Geans, who called her Mama Charlene and who would always come by to see if she was doing okay or if she needed anything; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
