Carrington Frye Obituary

The Life of a Hummingbird

My baby love, Carrington Juwon Frye, affectionately known his entire life by the moniker, Sip, departed this life in Macon, Georgia on March, 20, 2020. He was the second child, born on June 22nd, 1996 to Roderick Frye and Jennifer Bradley. He was preceded in death by his maternal grand parents, Mr. L.V. and Mrs. Bobbie Bradley, and his maternal aunt, Tuwanna Marie Bradley.

During his younger years, Carrington was educated by the Stuttgart School System. At the tender age of fourteen, I relocated Carrington, and his older brother to Buford, GA. While there, Carrington attended Mill Creek High School, and Faith Academy. Crooks and bumps in his journey would have him complete his education in the Georgia Department of Corrections. There, he earned his G.E.D., and graduated Salutatorian of his class.

My baby stood out in everything he did. Upon entering Mill Creek, Carrington was immediately placed in honors classes. A lover of sports; his speed and athleticism earned him the position of running back on his high school football team. Although not as passionate about basketball, as he was football, Carrington was just as fierce and agile in his position as a shooting guard. His Mill Creek Athletic Basketball team depended on him to start and lead the way.

Carrington was a dapper male in all of his ways. He had an acquisition for nothing but the best. My boy was mentally strong, and rooted in his beliefs. He did not allow his thoughts to be dictated by the likes of others. Carrington was charismatic, caring, confident, and inquisitive. He was wellknown and loved by most he came in contact with. Playful, and comical but yet precocious; often referring to me simply as, “My Dearest.” My child prayed hard, and was a believer in God. Many of our conversations ended in, “the hard part is over, my Dearest. I love you, and keep the faith.”

My baby love will never be forgotten, and those who mourn him are great and many. He leaves in the presence of his absence, his “dearest” mother, Jennifer Bradley; his father, Roderick Frye; his only full brother and his confidant, Jalen Frye (Stephanie) of Buford, GA; two half brothers; Deontre Frye, and Eric Metlock of Orlando, FL; four half sisters; Latia and Daphne Frye, both of Orlando, FL; Chishia Sims of Kileen, TX, and Destiny Watts of Covington, LA; his paternal grand parents, Benny Frye of Stuttgart, AR and Ruthie Barnes of Dallas, TX; four special cousins, who are best described as siblings; Alexis James of Gainesville, GA; Kyron Harris of Buford, GA; Khalil Harris of Tuxedo Park, NY; Phoenix Bradley of Buford, GA; a very special niece and nephew, Nadia and Noel Frye of Buford, GA, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who my baby left an impression on.

We can all look forward to that Glorious Day, when Christ Jesus will say,

“CARRINGTON! WAKE UP AND COME OUT!”
