Sister Carolyn Ann Boyd was born July 4, 1958 in Humphrey, Arkansas to Jerry & Ruth McDonald Boyd. She departed this life on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
At an early age Carolyn accepted Christ at First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Harry Mays & Pastor Arthur Hughes, Jr. Carolyn served as a devoted member of the choir, President of the Beautifying Committee, culinary committee, and worker for summer youth program, until her health failed her.
Carolyn attend Humphrey Public Schools and the University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. She was employed as a Packer for Riceland Foods Inc., Rice Division and Tyson Foods. She was a dedicated sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, cooking, baking, cleaning, raising her flowers, and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Ruth McDonald Boyd, three brothers Jerry Boyd, Harold Boyd, and Jefferson Boyd, three sisters Jacquelyn Boyd-McCullar, Pamela Boyd, and Barbara Boyd, and grandparents Garfield & Rozetta Boyd and Sam & Pasty McDonald.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories three brothers: Rev. James (Margaret) Boyd of Lynnwood, IL, Rev. Charles (Elfreda) Boyd of Pine Bluff, AR, and Undray (Stephanie) Boyd of Humphrey, AR; five sisters: Virginia Worthy of Humphrey, AR, Gwendolyn Williams of Pine Bluff, AR, Jerrye Wyatt of Humphrey, AR, Sherrye Boyd Thompkins of Stuttgart, AR, and Doris Boyd Lockwood of Humphrey, AR; a niece Chandra (Marcus) McCullar-Taylor of Pine Bluff, AR whom she raised; one uncle: Garfield Boyd, Jr. Pine Bluff, AR; five aunts: Olena (Ottawa) Joyner of Memphis, TN, Florstine Boyd Reese of Jackson, MI, and Catherine Hudson, Shirley Ann Boyd, and Evelyn Womack, all of Pine Bluff, AR; two special friends Delores Hall and Phyllis Rogers; a host of nieces, nephews, great, great - great nieces & nephews; and two Goddaughters: Jalicia Wyatt of Humphrey, AR and Shajuantae Cline of Pine Bluff, AR.
