Carol Laverne Bennett, born on December 3, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Earnestine Johnson and Willie Lee Dunlap, peacefully departed this life on December 2, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Carol was a devoted member of Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas and was deeply committed to her faith and community. She furthered her education at Draughan School of Business in Little Rock, where she cultivated her skills and knowledge.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Willie Lee Dunlap and Earnestine Johnson, along with two brothers Joseph “Bear Head” Johnson and Sylvester Dunlap, one sister Patricia Dunlap and daughter-in-law Winnie Bennett.
Carol was a proud mother to her three sons: Derrick Wyatt (Keyia), Quartrio Bennett (Tanika), and Datrail Bennett. She was a loving sister to her five beloved brothers Herbert Eugene Johnson, Nekia Rayalto Johnson, Micheal Dunlap, Melvin Dunlap and Chris Dunlap along with four sisters Nikole Sherriel Johnson, Rose Jimmerson, Diane Dunlap and Rena Blood. Carol was a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her special friends Tim Frye, Angela Garlington and Schenia Manuel. Carol also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends who will forever hold her memory dear in their hearts.
Carol’s vibrant spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held to honor her memory and the impact she had on those around her.
