Carmanetta Wynn Sain was born March 4, 1953 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Edith Wynn and Willie Shelton. She was the oldest of six children. Carmanetta transitioned from this Earthly life on November 5, 2021 surrounded by family at Baptist Health Medical Center in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, under the leadership of Elder Wiley Johnson at St. Paul Church of God in Christ in Clarendon, Arkansas. She later re-joined St. Paul Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Elder McArthur Dismuke.
Carmanetta was a 1971 graduate of Clarendon High School in Clarendon. She joined the United States Navy in 1976. She furthered her education by attending nursing school, where she graduated as an LPN. Carmanetta was a loyal worker for Lennox Industries in Stuttgart, Arkansas, until her retirement.
She was united in holy matrimony to Carl Edward Sain in 1977. Although she wasn’t blessed with biological children, Carmanetta was a mother to many! She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She also treasured the quality time spent with her nieces and nephews, who loved their Auntee dearly. In addition, she loved traveling and baking.
She was preceded in death by her mother Missionary Edith Amos, father Ervin Dillard Amos, Sr., husband Carl Edward Sain, brother Leonard Amos, sister Loretta Amos, nephew Tavares Amos, and niece Demetria Amos.
Carmanetta will forever by cherished in memories by her siblings Florence Walker, Angela (Kevin) Thomas, and Ervin Dillard Amos, Jr., all of Clarendon, AR; one aunt Sharon Amos of Conway, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
