Carl Edward McCastle Jr., affectionately known as “Baldy,” was born on June 18, 1963, in Madeira, California, to Carl McCastle Sr. and Chestine McCastle. He transitioned from time to eternity on the afternoon of March 7, 2026, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Carl received his education in the Stuttgart School District. During his younger years, he enjoyed playing football and was known for his charming personality, love of life and he was always a ladies' man. Carl accepted Christ at an early age and carried that faith with him throughout his life.
Carl was a dedicated employee at Producers Rice Mill until he became disabled. He took great pride in his work on the power curve and was known to proudly talk about his muscles. Outside of work, Carl enjoyed fishing with his friend, the late Fred “Freddy Krueger” Williams, and bowling with the guys. Above all, Carl loved to dance. Whether he was creating his own moves or trying to imitate Michael Jackson, he could always be found enjoying himself on the dance floor.
Carl’s life was marked by love and an enduring appreciation for family and friends. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and joy to those around him, and his memory will continue to inspire and bring light to all who knew and loved him.
Carl married Jacqueline Stigger in 1997, and they shared ten years of marriage until her passing. He later married Uradell Johnson, who also preceded him in death.
Awaiting Carl’s arrival in heaven is his father, Carl Edward McCastle Sr.; one sister, Angela Ann Fitzpatrick; and one grandson, Aveyon Smith.
Though Carl is no longer with us in the flesh, his irreplaceable presence will be deeply missed by those left to cherish his memories: his loving and caring mother, Chestine McCastle; one daughter, Marquise Smith; one son, John Allen Smith; two grandchildren, Avyonna Smith and Aniyah Smith all of Stuttgart, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Ava Smith and Aven Smith, both of Stuttgart, Arkansas; six stepchildren, Ray (Andra) Johnson of Conway, Arkansas, Tamika Baker of Nashville, Tennessee, Terri (Tyrell) Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kariya (Jay) Hunter of Nashville, Tennessee , Lakita Cato of Stuttgart, Arkansas, and Megan Johnson of Fayetteville, Arkansas; five sisters, Rose (Michael) Murry and April (Dwight) Hood, both of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Elmira (Dave) McCastle of Little Rock, Arkansas, Stefania Reed of Gould, Arkansas, and Dorothy London of Stuttgart, Arkansas; two brothers, Jerry McCastle of Stuttgart, Arkansas, and Anthony McCastle of Kansas City, Missouri; one very special friend whom he loved dearly, Marie Burton of Stuttgart, Arkansas; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
