Blondell Qualls-Avery was born October 14, 1939 to Alberta Gray and Albert Qualls in Gethsemane, AR. Blondell attended school in Gethsemane and finished school at Holman.
After school she began working for Stuttgart Regional Medical Center in the Dietary Department for 40 years, where she retired.
In June 1970 she was united in holy matrimony to Rufus Avery, Sr. for 43 years until God called him home. To this union, seven children were born.
She was a faithful servant on the Usher Board at Allen Temple M.B. Church, until her health failed.
She departed her life on March 22, 2018 at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rufus Avery, Sr., sons Aurthur Avery and Willis Avery, daughter Jessie B Avery, and brothers Larcell Blood, Elmus Blood, and Raymond Blood.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter Jackie (Maurice) Avery of Stuttgart, AR; sons Gilbert (Mae) Avery, Sr. of Stuttgart, AR; Rocky Avery and Cedric Avery both of Dallas, TX; Carl Avery, Sr. of Stuttgart, AR; two sisters Evelyn (Kevin) Hamilton of Humphrey, AR and Gale Jones of Pine Bluff, AR, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, a very special sister-in-law Merdus Blood, and a special God son Freddrick Jeffery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Allen Temple M.B. Church, located at 708 N. Buerkle St, Stuttgart, AR from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Allen Temple M.B. Church at 11am. Interment to follow at Wabbaseka Cemetery.
