Blanchie Jeffery Obituary

Blanchie Emma Jeffery was born March 13, 1933 to the late Richard Johnson and Jennie Jemerson Johnson in DeWitt, Arkansas. She departed her life on November 13, 2020.

Ms. Blanchie accepted Christ at an early age. She found her church home at Traveler’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas under the pastorialship of Pastor Bryce Hollingworth and remained a faithful member under the pastorialship of Pastor Debra Burton. She was an active member of the Golden Girls Choir, as well as a Mother of the church.

Blanchie was a homemaker where she enjoyed cooking and working her crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She also had a ‘green thumb’, which allowed her to grow beautiful plants. She always greeted people with her beautiful smile, which all her children inherited.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Jeffery; parents Richard and Jennie Johnson; five children Ruthie, Eric, Ledan (Danny), Phillip, and Katrina Jeffery; five sisters Velma Randall, Mary Jean Nichols, Jenell Caldwell, Lee Della Berry and Mary Lee Trimble; four brothers Wilbert Johnson, LB Johnson, Perlis Johnson, and John Johnson; one granddaughter Monica Fitzpatrick; and one great-grandson Dominique (DJ) Jeffery, Jr.

Blanchie leaves to cherish her beautiful memories two sons Kenneth Jeffery and Maurice Jeffery, both of Stuttgart, AR; three daughters Betty Phillips of Moreno Valley, CA, Mary Jones of Wilmar, AR, and Angela Jeffery of Stuttgart, AR; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
