Mr. Augusta Terry, Jr. was born March 11, 1949 in Wabbaseka, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Augusta and Loraine Terry. He departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in the comfort of his own home.
He was united in holy matrimony to Ruth Lestine Hill for over forty-plus years. And to this union, five children were born - Lisa, Lawanda, Reginald, Frederick, and Augusta III.
Affectionately known as Gus, he was a member of Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas, where he served on the Deacon board. He was a faithful member, until his health begin to fail him.
He was a very hard and dedicated worker. He had numerous jobs. Gus worked for the Wabbaseka School District for a number of years. He later worked for Riceland Foods, Inc. until he left and started his own business, Gus Lawn Service.
Gus was loved by many and was always willing to help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents Augusta and Loraine Terry, his loving wife Ruth Terry, one daughter Lisa Terry, one sister Mapleon Barnes, and Blanchie Dedrick, who was like a Mother.
Gus leaves to cherish his memories one daughter Lawanda (Lamont) Mozell of Stuttgart, AR; three sons Reginald Terry, Frederick (Redeanna) Terry, and Augusta (GiGi) Terry III, all of Stuttgart, AR; ten grandchildren Jonathan Terry, Tony Terry, Thomas Terry, Reginald Terry, Jr., Denekqua Terry, Victoria Terry, Torriuna Hobbs, Kendall Terry, Kendrall Hill, and Nellie Terry; ten great-grandchildren; three brothers Joe (Laura) Terry of Chicago, IL, Edward Terry of Kansas City, MO, and Harold (Janet) Terry of Blytheville, AR; one special sister-in-law Flave Smith of Pine Bluff, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
