Arease Walker Obituary

Arease Walker departed her earthly life and entered eternal life on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Arease was born on October 2, 1944 to Miles and Arlene Carter. She was a Holman High School graduate. In June of 1964, she married her one true love, Warlene Walker. To this union five children were born: Michael, Roosevelt, Wallace, Cynthia and LaShawn.

Arease Walker worked many years before retiring from the phone company, GTE. She also worked several years at Buerkle Drugs. Arease loved the Lord, and she demonstrated it in her service to Him at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. There she served as church clerk and in the choir ministry. She was a faithful member of the singing group, The Harmonettes, and man could they harmonize! Arease leisurely enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends.

Next to her relationship with Jesus, she loved her family with a fervor! She would often say, “I will fight a bear to protect my kids!” If you really knew her, you knew she was serious about it. Arease was a faithful, loving and caring wife (until her husband’s death), mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, auntie and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents (Miles and Arlene Carter), her husband (Warlene Walker of 39 years), her daughter (LaShawn Bouldin), her grandson (Michael Walker, Jr.) and her sister (Gerlene McClain).

Memories of Arease will be cherished by her family: son, Michael (Louisville, KY), son, Roosevelt Sr. (Benita – Hermitage, TN), son, Wallace (Killeen, TX), daughter, Cynthia (Killeen, TX), son-in-law, Billy Bouldin (Georgetown, TX). Her beloved grandchildren: Whitney, RJ (Kristen), Zach (Dorinda), Andre, M’Kynleah, Matthew, and great-grandchildren: Brielle, Nicolas, Mila and Emerson. Her siblings: Rebecca, Polly, Dottie, Kenneth (Margaret) and Nyle. Her in-laws: Robert (Mary), Alice, Elbert (Bertha), Lavearn, Marie and Harlan (Cheryl). Plus a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
