Wilbert Walker Obituary

Mr. Wilbert Walker was born in Roe, Arkansas to the union of Willie and Indiana Fulton-Sims Walker.

Mr. Walker, affectionately known as ‘Shy Bob’, graduated from Carver High School in Clarendon, Arkansas. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Roe, Arkansas. Mr. Walker was a tenured employee of the Riceland Rice Company in Stuttgart, Arkansas until his health began to fail. He was a wise, humble, gentle and cool mannered man, so much so that he became known to some as “Cool Breeze”, like a breath of fresh air. He was kind, never a mean word to or about anyone.

Mr. Wilbert Walker transitioned from this life on May 18, 2018 at 6:30AM at the Spring Place Extended Care Facility in Hazen, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Leonard Walker and Quincy Ferguson. He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters Kourtney and Ashley Walker of DeWitt Arkansas; three sisters Carolyn Walker of Los Angeles, California, Jacqueline Walker of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Patsy Sims-Slayton of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother R.D Sims-Walker of Los Angeles, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, family and friends.
