Welcome to the memorial page for

Linda Kay Guydon

May 29, 1958 ~ September 23, 2017 (age 59) 59 Years Old

Sis. Linda Kay Herron-Guydon was called home to rest on September 23, 2017 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She was born on May 29, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Queen Herron-Dixon and Charlie Mack Higgins.

During her early childhood years, she moved from Chicago to Humphrey, Arkansas where she attended Humphrey Public School. Later on in her early adulthood, Sis. Guydon moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas where she worked various jobs as a cook. She loved to spend time with family, attend church weekly, shop, and cook. On July 4, 1996, she joined union in marriage to her husband, the late Clifford Guydon.

In 2001, Sis. Guydon became a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas where she attended weekly Bible study and Sunday service. She was the Assistant Church Clerk, Superintendent of Sunday School, and participated in singing with the Fifth Sunday Singers.

Sis. Guydon loved all of her family members, but absolutely loved her “great-grandbabies.” On most weekends, Sis. Guydon enjoyed spending time with them and nothing in the world would stop her from doing just that. She would not be feeling her best at times, but she still made time for those “grandbabies.”

She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Guydon and parents Queen Herron-Dixon and Charlie Mack Higgins. She leaves to cherish her memories: children Angela (Tracy) Higgins-Williams (Little Rock, AR), Michelle (Howard) Gurley (Humphrey, AR), and Darrell Lamont Higgins (Gulf Shores, AL); step-mother Ollie Higgins (Stuttgart, AR); mother-in-law Florida Porter (Stuttgart, AR); step-father Willie Dixon (Chicago, IL); aunt Charlie Mae (Ray) Sanders (Memphis, TN); three sisters Charlene Roberts (Stuttgart, AR), Valerie Higgins (Chicago, IL) and LaNeisha Higgins (Stuttgart, AR); one brother Michael Higgins (Chicago, IL); six grandchildren Krystal Gurley (Little Rock, AR), Dionte Gurley (Little Rock, AR), Justin Gurley and Howard Gurley III (Humphrey, AR), Montray Wyatt and Markayla Wyatt (Stuttgart, AR); three great-grandchildren Christian Carroll, Cameron Carroll and Austin Gurley (Little Rock, AR); two favorite cousins Anthony Herron (Kansas City, KS) and Ledgure Herron, Jr. (Chicago, IL); one special aunt Orsie Henson (Chicago, IL); two special nieces Tonya Smith (Stuttgart, AR) and Margaret (Sylvester) Barrow (Humphrey, AR); a dear friend Sis.
